So I've been out of the game for a few years now . It's been almost 3 years since I have graduated from college (Clemson BFA) and honestly haven't had it in me to create artwork. But it's that time to get back on the horse and begin doing what makes me happy . And creating art work that challenges me and makes me ask questions . Exploring new mediums and finding new outlets . It's not much yet but I'm excited to see where this newest body of work goes. I've been doing a lot of automatic writing lately to get things off my chest. Personal matters which I find hard to express. And to a degree very much want to disguise . So here we go ...
I'm writing on acrylic. I was drawn to this in particular because of it being translucent. And it's reflective qualities turned out to be a nice surprise this evening. I rather enjoy the outcome. There is still a lot of exploring to take place but I'm thinking the end it will most definitelybe a photograph I think . The writing and physical "sculptural " aspect of my work usually ends this way. I love creating the photograph .
